How much power does an SST 360 make? I know the 390 came close to 1hp/CID.

And how upgrade able is it

If it’s a later ‘71 motor with the four-barrel carb, then 295 hp. Otherwise it should be making a lackluster 210 hp. http://www.offroaders.com/tech/jeep/AMC-…

I see that and raise you this:

Decently upgrade-able, thanks to that same engine ending up in Jeeps so that community did a lot of tinkering.

72?
NO
THAT IS MY LIMIT, NO MUSCKE CARS YOUNGER THAN 1972 UNLESS ITS A 72 GRAN TORINO

Lol, why? They’re both going to perform nearly the same, and you get a bitchin’ console shift on the ‘72.

Compression ratio dropped and the SAE Net switch messed up the hp rating

Everyone knows this. My point is, a 2nd Gen 360-powered Javelin is going to be slow no matter what, so why does it matter?

I had a ‘74 AMX. It was blisteringly fast...
...to melting tires. Seriously, it had enough power to lose grip at 55 if you floored it all the way to the top speed of 56...
...kidding! It was faster than that. I loved that car, and miss it.
